Viral Kisah Perempuan Melayu Kahwin Lelaki Korea

Assalamualaikum,

Pergh tajuk media tabloid sangat. Nak naikkan rating/traffic lettew. Kahkah.

Dia quote tweet dari Twitter. Not mine. Someone idk. kkk

Rimas gila time tu. Tapi sebab kat Korea kan, tak kisah lah sangat.

Dulu rimas, sekarang kita watlek watpis je.

Ni viral lagi sekali, kitorang kat Malaysia pulak. Adehh..

Yang tidak tu tutup je mata, pekakkan telinga a.k.a "just ignore it" (what exactly I said to him sebab tu paling simple untuk dia faham kang direct translation ke laut pulak haha). >.< *blush*

Anyways, could you please do me a favour? I know we're strangers tapi doakan je lah yang baik-baik untuk kami. Untuk bahagia sama-sama ke syurga Dia. Because at the end of the day, we are just humans. Kami sama macam pasangan lain yang bernikah atas dasar suka sama suka.

Thank you. :)

Five (5) FAQs

Salam & hi. ^_^v

Can’t believe it’s the last day of February. I promised myself to update at least once a week but look what is happening again. *sigh* Mana pergi resolutions 2016 mu itu puih.

Disebabkan nak jugak update blog, kali ni Fad nak buat entry pasal frequently asked questions (FAQ) on my personal ig, @snfad_diela. Dalam BM lah pulak kali ni ek. Hee

1.       Macam mana kenal dengan Kim?

Ok. >.< So boleh baca lah kat link sini ok. So jangan *nyanyi lagu Nurul Ajai keliru*

2.       Mertua macam mana? Mak mertua garang macam dalam drama tak?

Alhamdulillah dorang okay je. Walaupun dorang tak berapa faham pasal Islam tapi dorang tak menentang apa-apa.

LOL

4.       Best ke kahwin orang Korea?

*ROTF* Kalau tau orang2 yang intercultural marriage yang kahwin dengan lelaki Korean ni, dorang ada satu stereotype phrase/warning which is “Korean man is a good boyfriend but a bad husband”. Sometimes when Kim being a Korean, dia kiss pipi lah ke apa in public memang buat orang double take and stare lah LOL

5.       Kafad belajar mana?

Sekolah tadika kemas – SK Batu Belah, Klang – SK KGV, Seremban – SMK Rantau Panjang, Klang – SMK KGV, Seremban – Foundation in TESL, UiTM Shah Alam – Degree in TESL, UTM Skudai (until now). Dah macam nak tulis resume pulak rasa. Sebab ayah orang nogori, ibu plak jowo, so masa sekolah tu selalu pindah2 ke Klang/Seremban. Masa degree kat UTM, Fad diberi peluang oleh UTM International untuk buat summer school program kat USA (2 months) and then exchange program kat Seoul (one year). Yang ni mungkin cerita entri lain ek?

Oklah. Cukup dulu sampai sini. Dah masuk March dah pun. Masa mula menaip tadi tengah February lagi cisss -.- Insyaallah kalau Fad rajin nanti update FAQs Part 2 pulak (tu pun kalau ada yang nak baca lah post takde gambo cenggini haa.
Semoga bulan ni lagi baik dari bulan sebelumnya. Take care! :D

How I Met Your Father

This post is dedicated to my future self and kids.

Kids, do you wanna know how I met your father?
It might not be as long as 8 seasons of a sitcom or something fancy but it's still one of the memories I cherish.

Let's start with the first meeting.

I was in BUDDIES (UTM student organization) at that time. I was assigned new international students every semester. That time, Niko and your father had been assigned to me. The international office had a program to bring the students around the campus, Mydin and Legoland at that time. I joined them and that's the very first photo of us together and Niko (Hi Niko! How are you?)

I greeted him in Korean "anyeonghaseyo" and he said "oh you speak good Korean". Trying to show off I said, "I even know 18, Gae*eki (curse words in Korean)". Until today, your father will bring this up- that I cursed to him on the very first meeting lol. His first impression of me must be that I'm rude. Mine was oh wow he can speak English better than any other Koreans I've met before. And that's that. No more. Nothing like omg he's handsome I'm melting, no.

As we had meals together with other international students, we got more comfortable with each other and we started to hang out in the library. Your dad is a hardworking student. I bet he can stay in the library for 24 hours to study and study and study (we did that a few times, staying in the 24 hour room to do assignments). I thought maybe if I study together I can be a hardworking student like him so we always meet at the library.

Can you tell?
Months later, we got really close. He's the closest brother I had so far.
Or so I thought...

He confessed that he loves me.
I be like...
"WHAT THE... You must be kidding? You're Korean"

"So? I'm a human too"

....

My parents won't believe it. Then he talked to them about marrying me.
"I really like Fadhilah. I'm serious and sincere about her so I wanna marry her"

3 months later, we did a humble akad nikah ceremony attended by close relatives and friends.

Nothing fancy.

So, that's how I met your father.

-THE END-

p/s: Dah nak dekat setahun kahwin tapi belum buat wedding. Almaklum masing-masing tengah belajar lagi. Doakan rezeki kami dapat buat walimatul urus soon! ^^

205 Days of Marriage : Twitter Thoughts

Assalamualaikuuuuum.
Hello!

I can't normally write an entry in the blog whenever I want to do so, I usually tweet few things happening once in a while - randomly or when something I wanna remember happen. Then, I thought this blog must be updated before I'm gonna be busy when the spring semester starts (I promised myself to write at least once a week but look at what's happening lol). Here goes...

Thought #1 : Adapting with new life

I never planned this. It just came out one evening when we're doing our work. LOL

Kengkonon sweet ah nak seprais buat kimbap sambil tunggu kat pintu "Yeaay, abang dah balik" *sambil tadah sepinggan kimbap*

Honestly, I started learning how to cook after I got married. Sebelum kahwin memanglah ada masak megi, air, mi sedap, nasi goreng, sardin, spageti, tapi tu pun tak berapa nak terel. Bila dah kawen baru lah menggagau wasap ibu and semorang yang ada kat wasap list tanya resepi. Masak kari je pon.

First week kat Korea, 4x masak beras Korea baru jadi cantik nasi tu.

Sebabkan oppa dah pernah belajar kat Malaysia setahun, dia memang suka makanan Malaysia (or semua makanan pun dia balun kot). Jadi resepi selalu tukar tukar. Korean, Malay, Western atau lauk-campak-gaul-rasa.

Paling aku suka. :3

Not surprising. We always spend hours in PSZ, UTM back then.

Selain nak menyesuaikan diri dengan life baru sebagai isteri, semua benda mesti kena share. Mesti.

Thought #2 : Miscommunication

We speak English (most of the time), Korean and Malay in our daily conversations. Sometimes, because of the different culture and proficiency that we have, we can't understand one another. Bagai ayam dengan itik.

Sometimes, we're trying so hard to remember new words (Korean for me, Malay for him)...

Thought #3 : The unexpected reactions

There's always a lil' surprise every now and then.

Di suatu malam selepas team Korea kalah Asian League.

Sudah semestinya dia tak faham tapi dia suka repeat after 2 3 perkataan last yang dia dengar.

To pray Isyak together - obviously bukan dari Korean drama.

Thought #5 : Homesick

Being away with my family for a really really long time, kengkadang memang sedih and rindu walaupun dah kahwin. Kalau masa belajar jauh jauh kat Seremban dulu ke or even masa dekat UTM Johor, tiap minggu kalau boleh nak balik Klang.

Walaupun dia tak reti nak cakap "atototo bucuk bucuk rindu rumah ye", he'll be there trying all his might to persuade me dengan kata janji manismu. Kalau dia nyanyi, confirm boleh terkeluar isi perut aku mengekek sebutan pelat dia tu.

Apa apa pun alhamdulillah. Orang selalu kata "susah wei kahwin bangsa lain/orang luar ni" tapi tiap tiap perkahwinan pun ada pasang surutnya, ada ujian, rezeki yang dah ditetapkan untuk masing-masing. Kan?

Terima kasih :')

Siapakah gerangan gadis yang memeluk oppa itu?

Peace be upon you :)

I thought I had never written in BM for this blog but this post is exceptional. Read if you know Malay or you'll be damn confused if you Google translate it.

'Isu' gadis Melayu bertudung dicabul oleh retis (told you there's no point of Google translate my BM 'cause my leisure BM is all over the place liddat >.<) kpop, gadis Melayu bertudung berpeluk bercium dengan retis kpop, masih lagi hangat diperkatakan di timeline fb aku. Tak cukup video orang kongsi, di ruang komen orang maki, generally kpoppers (idk if this is what they call themselves) dibenci.

Kalau pihak penganjur tak rahsiakan identiti bebudak perempuan tu, orang yang 'lebih rajin', 'lebih sifat ingin tahu' tu, mesti nak jugak cari sampai lubang cacing. Untuk apa? Beri pengajaran pada mereka katanya.

... *sigh*

Sudah-sudah lah tu. Lebihnya kita apa pada dia kalau bahasa kita pun tidak melambangkan bangsa apatah lagi agama?

Taken from my friend's

"Pandang abang lah sayang pandang kamera bukan hensem" k
-caption sekadar hiasan, laki saya tak pandai BM lagi-

Peace yaw.

How does it feel to be married at the age of 21?

First of all, obviously, I'm 22 this year but I don't wanna admit it since it's not my birthday yet. Duh.

Second, the title might as well be rephrased to "how does it feel to be married to a foreigner at the age of 21"

Eh, lupa. Assalamualaikum, w.b.t.

It's been a long time here. Since my last post, I was preparing for my akad, and then my exchange student program, shopping, packing, and settling in Korea. And now, I'm here in Seoul *phew*. Can't believe I make it here after years of having South Korea as my one of my countries-to-visit-before-30.

from Instagram : snfad_diela

from Instagram: jeyoungpeterkim

Some families and friends might say, "Balik kampung ke Fad?". While some are worried and exaggerated my 6-12 months away from Malaysia. I mean.. eh helloooo I'm not leaving here forever lah please jangan tacink lebih nangis nangis cenggini korang kenapaaa *heart's crying tapi tunjuk macho in front of others*. Or so I thought... And I'll be like omg this is so heartbreaking and exciting (that I'm leaving Malaysia for studying and travelling to Korea), I miss my family.. my sisters and brother especially TT_TT *crying*.
Then, Hakim be like "자기야~~ 울지마~~ 마음이 아파~~ I'll make you happy yada yada *hugs*". OK tak nangis dah *lempang* leuls

So, can you deduce my answer to that question?
Let's see if any of you get it right.

What does it feel to be married at the age of 21?
How does it feel to be married to a foreigner/Korean at the age of 21?

Answers:

1. I'm feeling busier than usual. Nak breakfast apa?"What do you wanna have for breakfast/lunch/dinner?", buatkan air untuk suami "Abang nak minum apa, sayang buatkan" "Do you wanna drink anything? Coffee? Tea?", tunggu suami depan pintu, kemas dapur hari-hari, beli barang dapur, check barang apa yang takde kat rumah tiap minggu etc etc. My husband helps with almost everything but there are a lot of things going on in my mind like now I have few additional boxes for "fefeeling wifey"menu for today"apa lagi nak buat kuasa2".

2. Remind of my mother(s) every few minutes. After being married, then I truly realized, "so this is how my mother have been spending most of her days". *grateful* *sayang ibu* :') <3

Siapakah kanak-kanak riang di Legoland itu?

Happy roomies at Beryl's Genting Highlands.

3. Cherish the good times I had. Maybe it's gonna be a lil' bit hard to have girls' day out (GDO/GNO) now that I'm married so I'm grateful and I appreciate the good times I had with my friends, the sleepovers, the gossipings, the travels etc. p/s: you can guess what's GNO, can't you?

4. Knowing someone will always be there for you. Don't get me wrong. I have a bunch of friends who I can lean on, every time. But the feeling, the support you'll get from your other half is totally different. It feels pure, soothing, romantic, I think you get it (before I go corny) *chuckles*.

4. BEST OF ALL. When the relationship is being built in the name of Allah, it makes us stronger together, learn about/from one another, develop ourselves towards a greater person in and out, accept the differences. Since my husband is a Korean and I'm a Malaysian, there are a lot of cultural differences, not to mention the religion (at first). For example, most Malaysians will be late for an appointment but try to carry that bad habit in Korea, none would wanna make friends with you. He used to get mad at me every time I was late but then after, he will nag like a mother sampai nipis telinga kau. Ok tak buat lagi. Kali ni betul-betul. In fact, during the pre-marriage course (kursus pra-perkahwinan) that I took, one of the speakers reminded us like all the time. You have to remember and be aware of these little/big/you-thought-it's-nonsense differences between men and women. What more if you're being raised differently. These differences should not make you apart from one another instead grow as high/big as possible. Together.

So, that's that.

Thanks for the picture, Amree!

Marrying a Foreigner in Malaysia: Documents Checklist

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.
Hello!
Salam Ramadhan.. :)

Our 'akad nikah' ceremony will be in less than 16 days yet we still have lots to do. It's not that I'm freaking out. No, not really. But because the whole process is painstaking. There are a lot of documents needed to be prepared actually. Good thing is since my future husband is a foreigner, one of my friends advised me to settle his first and yes, it helps a lot.

Image from :bridalmusings.com
Believe it or not, I don't even have 'kursus pra-perkahwinan' yet (gonna take it this weekend). In fact, we haven't submitted the form to registrar office or PAID. LOL *ketawa sambil menangis*
Even though oppa asked me a few times on what else should be done/prepared, is there anything else I could help/do, there's nothing really. Just the process of going back and forth, here and there (of which he can't do because he's in UTM preparing and getting ready for IELTS the same day as my kursus. Even if he's here, he can just follow me around, not really talking as most of the offices I'm dealing with have minor command in English including the jabatan issuing his Islamic certificate in Johor).

This one from here
Thank you for this image

Anyways, here's the checklist if you're a Malaysian girl to marry a foreigner in Malaysia.

Bride :

1. Photocopy of IC
2. Photocopy of 2 witnesses' IC
3. Photocopy of wali's IC
4. Certificate of pre-marriage course (kursus pra-perkahwinan)
5. HIV test
6. Parents' marriage certificate
7. Form 2C - get it here
8. Form 1 (if the address in your IC is different from your current address)

Groom:

1. Photocopy of passport
2. Photocopy of 2 witnesses' IC
3. HIV test (previously, when I asked Islamic Johor Center about this, they said he doesn't have to take it but the one in Selangor insists)
4. Form 1 (use the bride's home address and ask head of the village to certify)
5. Letter/Islamic Card (for mualaf - new brother/sister)
6. Approval letter from
         (i) groom's consular/embassy (he paid USD4 = RM12 for this *price varies according to                  embassy I guess)
        (ii) Malaysian Immigration
7. Form 2A - get it here

So, that's about it. Ours has been done 80%. Oppa said that the paperwork in Korea is simpler (I hope so!). If you're in the same shoes, all I can say is good luck!

** Note that the pictures are just decorations to let your eyes rest. ;) I know how does it feel to read without pictures especially with such a boring writing of mine! Haha.

ok.. Happy breakfasting!
